Maybe you have (accidentally of course) let a plant rot by giving it a place in the bright sun when it really couldn’t stand it. The result is a bone-dry soil and yellow-colored leaves. Some varieties literally burn in direct sunlight. Fortunately, these plants like it on the windowsill.
Strelitzia
A strelitzia can often be recognized by the long stems and beautiful, large green leaves that the plant has. A large houseplant and a real eye-catcher in the house. The plant is also called bird of paradise plant and comes from a tropical area. A spot in full sun is therefore no problem for this beautiful plant. In fact, the Strelitzia comes into its own best in a nice pot in the sun.
